  • WE NEED YOU!
Calling all CLA students – we are thrilled to offer an opportunity for you to participate in GVSU’s Enrichment Gala – the annual celebration of the donors who support the University. Enrichment will be on Tuesday, June 4th at DeVos Place downtown. This year, they are inviting a select group of students to participate as greeters and “table hosts” with the opportunity to share about your time at Grand Valley with donors. Volunteer students will need to be available starting at 5pm that evening; dress code is suit and tie or cocktail/formal dress. If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to Abby at [email protected] as soon as possible! Priority will be given to students who respond by Monday, April 1st.

This month's focus:

Social responsibility icon

Engaging in responsible decision-making and ethical actions to increase impact and not detract from the welfare of society.

We love to spotlight the awesome things that our cohort is up to throughout the academic year. Are you working on some cool research? Has your student org hosted an event? Did you recently hike up a mountain or get accepted into a grad program? Let us know with the submission form here!

Ashley Perryman

Student Spotlight: CLA Fellow Candidate AND Homecoming Royal, Ashley Perryman

Ashley Perryman is a senior student with majors in Allied Health Sciences and Public Health. She is a returning CLA Fellow Candidate this year, and was elected as the 2023 Homecoming Royal! In addition to her engagement in the CLA, Ashley is incredibly intertwined within the campus community. She is involved in the Track and Field Team and Sprints Leadership Committee, as well as being Chaplain for You Beautiful Black Woman and previously a life group leader & celevitationality leader for Campus Ministry. When asked what being on the Homecoming Court meant to her, Ashley said, "It is an opportunity to be a representation of the organizations that I am involved in across campus as well as Grand Valley as a whole. Being a member of this court is a chance to emulate what it means to be a Laker, which to me means being an active and positive member of the Grand Valley community". Check out her feature on the Grand Valley Homecoming page here!
